Mission Statement

The mission of Watertown for All Ages is to collaborate with town departments, service organizations and providers to support and advocate for policies that will make Watertown more age-friendly for older adults and thereby more welcoming to individuals of all ages. WAA strives to ensure that all residents live in our community safely, independently and comfortably regardless of age, income or ability level.

We define an age-friendly community as one having the following characteristics: adequate social and health services, strong civic engagement and participation, plentiful employment and volunteer opportunities, ethos of respect and opportunities social inclusion, appropriate housing in a range of affordability, vibrant outdoor spaces and public places, and effective, sensible transportation options.
